UNITED CEREBRAL PALSY
In memory of Jim Arness, Janet
Arness wants you to know more about their favorite charity. A portion of all
proceeds from their website is donated to United Cerebral Palsy.
For more than 55 years, United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) has been committed to
change and progress for persons with disabilities. The national organization
and its nationwide network of affiliates strive to ensure the inclusion of
persons with disabilities in every facet of society—from the Web to
the workplace, from the classroom to the community. As one of the largest
health charities in America, the mission of United Cerebral Palsy is to advance
the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with disabilities
through an affiliate network.
The United Cerebral Palsy Research and Education Foundation (UCPREF) has always
stood for “hope through research” for all affected by cerebral
palsy. UCPREF has supported research that has had international implications
for treating pregnant mothers and infants, including developing the vaccine
for rubella, substantially decreasing the risk for CP in full term infants,
and identifying kernicterus as a major treatable cause of CP in newborn infants.
His Royal Highness Prince Firas Raad and Her Royal Highness Princess Dana
Firas of Jordan will be honored by the UCPREF on Thursday, September 14th
at the Graham Arader Gallery in New York City. Jim and Janet have donated
a lithograph and an autobiography for the auction being held during the event.
Thank you to all the loyal fans that have purchased items from our website.
With your help we can increase our donations to UCP for research and educational
needs.
With our Sincerest Thanks!
Janet Arness
